The only place to begin your Essential Oils journey is HERE! Most people have heard of essential oils, and have even considered incorporating these amazing gifts of the earth into their lives, but are unsure of where to start because there are SO MANY options. Essential oils are gaining worldwide recognition for their versatility but their use is not new. Oils have been supporting holistic and wellness needs for the past 5,000+ years! With a recent re-emergence in natural healthcare (which is picking up momentum year after year), Essential oils have become part of our mainstream culture but there are still many questions that have been left unanswered: What are Essential Oils? What to look for in a high quality Essential Oils line? What is the best method of using Essential Oils? What Oils should be part of a daily routine? How can Essential Oils help specific health conditions? How to bring Essential Oils into your home? Who should use Essential Oils? What are the top ten Essential Oils? And many other questions! Essential Oils 101 is a fun and informative class taught by Nicole Almeida, Holistic Health Coach and founder of Essentially Sp'OILed for Life. Nicole has been working as a Holistic Health Coach and educator for almost 20 years. She has authored and co-authored several holistic health courses and is a national presenter for allied health professionals. Her mission is to educate and empower individuals to reach their personal goals, both physically and psychologically by simply living a more natural lifestyle and replacing synthetics with certified pure therapeutic grade products. This class will explain what essential oils are, discuss essential oil application and why doTERRA is the best choice for purchasing essential oils for you and your family. Samples and exclusive special offers are available at this event. All of our events are FREE to the public and focus on education for both the novice and more advanced oil user.  We encourage you to reserve your spot sooner than later as our event location has limited space.

Kizomba Public Monday could be your first time or your first time in a long time. : ) Mondays in The Great Room at Union Station Hartford 6-8pm; a free, weekly, community event by Kizomba Hartford. We are excited to continue this program in 2017.    It started back on November 11, 2015, when Kizomba Hartford celebrated the the 40th Anniversary of Independence of Angola at the Union Station Great Room. On that day, Kizomba Hartford was awarded a Citation by the Office of the Mayor of the City of Hartford for being Kizomba Ambassadors! Also, 11.11.15 was proclaimed "Angolan Kizomba Day" in the City of Hartford by Mayor Pedro Segarra. In the summer of 2015, Kizomba Hartford hosted its first Mobbinmeetup at the Hartford Riverfront. Dancing Kizomba anywhere is a stimulating experience. Dancing outdoors in the summer breeze by the water was anespecially a fascinating experience because we engaged the public in an art form that they had never seen before.  We followed up in fall with an outdoor Mobbin Meetup at Elizabeth park at Sunrise Outlook. Dancing in the beautiful Great Room is a beautifully similar experience, indoors, while connecting with people new to Kizomba Dance from Angola.    FREE Community Event at the Great Room, Hartford Train Station (UNION STATION). Yoga on the Homestead (with Goats!!!) with Instructor Jackie Havens Come to ZiegenVine Homestead, LLC, in the scenic Finger Lakes region of New York State, to  experience Yoga on the Homestead (with Goats!!!)  Certified yoga instructors lead us through an approximate 45 minute long blended style yoga session as our herd: Cora, Millie, Macey and their kids (born mid-April) romp around, eat some weeds and probably lay down and watch what is going on around them.    (they like to cuddle too!)   The hour and a half time frame includes approximately 45 minute to 1 hour long yoga work with plenty of time to mingle with the goats.  Do you have to do yoga? Uhm no- but maybe give it a try!  All levels of yoga practioners welcome.  Have you heard about Yoga with Goats?    If you haven't heard about it - do a quick Google search for "yoga with goats"  to see what its about! FAQs Q. Are there refunds or make-ups for classes? A. There are no refunds unless the class gets cancelled by us- in case of rain we will have class in the barn!  (it gets vacuumed regularly) Q. Can I transfer my ticket to another person or another datet? Can I check in without my ticket? Do I need to print out my ticket? Can I resell my ticket?   A Yes- you can transfer your registration to another person. No-  you cannot transfer your ticket to another date.  You don't have to print your ticket- just make sure you have a screen shot of the QR-code.   You cannot resell your ticket.    Q. Are spectators allowed at Yoga on the Homestead (with Goats!!!)? A. We understand that many people come to yoga on the homestead (with goats) and don't want to do yoga. You still need to pay for the class, we have a limited amount of space for the class.   You can also contact the farm about coming for a farm visit- we love sharing our farming adventure with everyone.  Also- if you want to volunteer for an afternoon of farm chores- we would gladly schedule some time for you.  :)   Q. Are there any bathrooms? A. There is an outdoor bathroom with a flushing toilet - near the yoga area.    Q. What if it rains? A.  We have a wonderful barn that has plenty of room for yoga and goats!    Q. What kind of goats are they? A. They are a Nubian-Boar cross.  They are a full size goats and can weight as much as 125 lbs.  The kids are much smaller but do grow quickly.     Q. Can we pick them up? A. There is a very specific way to pick up a goat so we would prefer you not to. If you want to hold a baby goat, just ask and we will gladly assist you.    Q. Do you milk the goats? A. At this point no- we are letting the kids get all the nutrients they need from their Momma’s.  It is something we are considering in the future.    Q. Why don't you offer more classes? A. We are working on it.  We have 5 amazing yoga instructors and are working with their schedules to get more sessions on the books.     Q. What about the goat poo? A. Yes, goats do poo!  The sessions are held in a grassy field (not in the goat pen) so any poop becomes part of the Earth and you'll barely notice it! They have been known to drop a few pellets on a mat or even to pee on a mat- we are prepared to handle that situation with disinfecting wipes.  When inside the barn- we are working on a "waving" system to clean up after the goats.    Q. What happens in a typical Goat Yoga class? You will learn about the goats and the farm.  We start with a a warmup appropriate for all levels.  Move on to a blended yoga style and end with a reflection session.  We welcome questions about the goats, farm and yoga.    Q. How do we find the pictures from our class? A.  Photos are posted to the farms social media channels.   Look for the links at the bottom of the page.    Q. Why are the goats not at Full Moon Yoga? A. Goats are prey animals.  We like to keep them safe in their barn when the sun goes down.     Q. Can we just come and pet the goats without yoga? I don't really do yoga. A. Yoga with goats is a very casual fun environment. You are welcome to just sit, meditate and pet the goats but you do have to still sign up for a class & pay for registration.    Q. All of your classes are full and I really want to come, should I call and email you a bunch of times until I get in? A. No. Just see if you can find another class to come to. You can also schedule a private session.  Call for more information.    Q. How long is class? A. Each class is a hour and a half with approximately 45 minutes to one hour of yoga.  People are welcome to stay after to take pictures and mingle with goats!   The goats do get tired may decide they are done by wandering back to their pen.   Q. Are children permitted in classes? A. For the safety of the child we require them to be 10 years old and comfortable around animals. They should be able to make it through a fun yoga class and not wander around. The goats do not discriminate  who they jump on.  You need to buy your child a ticket to class. Children 10-15 need to have a parent in class with them.  Look for Kids Yoga with the kids on the schedule. Q. How do I sign up for a class? A. Click on the tab "Sign up for classes". Then click on the calendar at the bottom of the page on the date you want to come to class. Then click on "Register Now". You will be directed to Eventbrite and pay by credit card for your class. Q. Do you have yoga mats we can use, we are  are coming in from out of town? A. Yes, we have a limited number of mats available.     Q. What should I wear ? A. You may wear whatever you want to goat yoga. Some people wear yoga gear others wear jeans- just check the weather before heading to the homestead and dress in layers if necessary.   Q. Do you offer private or corporate classes? A. Yes- please call 607-207-5730 to discuss your needs.  Girls day?  Bachelorette yoga?  Corporate team building?  Give us a call!    How can I contact the organizer with any questions? You can contact Allison or Randy at [email protected]  or call Allison at 607-207-5730- if you don't get an answer- leave a message and  we will be sure to call you back.   Things to note: This event involves live animals.  Please remember to wash your hands before and after with soap!  :)    In case of rain- we will move the session into the barn.  No Refunds, unless class is cancelled.      #yoga #yogawithgoats #yogaonthehomestead #ZiegenVineHomestead #upstateNY #iloveNY  #southernfingerlakes #goatyogaNY #outdoorNY #goatyoga
