The only place to begin your Essential Oils journey is HERE! Most people have heard of essential oils, and have even considered incorporating these amazing gifts of the earth into their lives, but are unsure of where to start because there are SO MANY options. Essential oils are gaining worldwide recognition for their versatility but their use is not new. Oils have been supporting holistic and wellness needs for the past 5,000+ years! With a recent re-emergence in natural healthcare (which is picking up momentum year after year), Essential oils have become part of our mainstream culture but there are still many questions that have been left unanswered: What are Essential Oils? What to look for in a high quality Essential Oils line? What is the best method of using Essential Oils? What Oils should be part of a daily routine? How can Essential Oils help specific health conditions? How to bring Essential Oils into your home? Who should use Essential Oils? What are the top ten Essential Oils? And many other questions! Essential Oils 101 is a fun and informative class taught by Nicole Almeida, Holistic Health Coach and founder of Essentially Sp'OILed for Life. Nicole has been working as a Holistic Health Coach and educator for almost 20 years. She has authored and co-authored several holistic health courses and is a national presenter for allied health professionals. Her mission is to educate and empower individuals to reach their personal goals, both physically and psychologically by simply living a more natural lifestyle and replacing synthetics with certified pure therapeutic grade products. This class will explain what essential oils are, discuss essential oil application and why doTERRA is the best choice for purchasing essential oils for you and your family. Samples and exclusive special offers are available at this event. All of our events are FREE to the public and focus on education for both the novice and more advanced oil user.  We encourage you to reserve your spot sooner than later as our event location has limited space.

Fundraiser honors soccer dream of Connecticut soldier killed in Iraq a decade ago NEW HAVEN, CONN.  (AUG 1, 2017) --The seventh annual New Haven Kick for Nick Night (#KickForNick), which supports a Gold Star family-run foundation that honors a fallen soldier’s dream by distributing soccer balls to underprivileged children worldwide, will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2017 at the Trinity Bar and Restaurant, 157 Orange Street in New Haven. The fundraising event will feature raffles, a silent auction, drink specials, hors d’oeuvres and bagpipers from the New Haven County Firefighters Emerald Society. Founded to honor the memory and dream of Wilton, CT native, soccer standout, and U.S. Army soldier PFC Nicholas A. Madaras, The Kick for Nick Foundation (kickfornick.org), has distributed more than 49,000 soccer balls to underprivileged children in 37 countries worldwide. This year, the fundraiser has set the ambitious goal of collecting the 50,000th soccer ball for the foundation. With help from corporate and institutional partners, the organizers expect to exceed the estimated 500+ soccer balls donated during last year’s event. Adam Cohen, Southern Connecticut State University Women’s Soccer Head Coach and longtime supporter, said his team began collecting soccer balls in the spring and his team is ready to help reach the 50,000 goal. The Trinity Bar & Restaurant, the VFW New Haven Post 12150, the American Outlaws New Haven Soccer club, and The Kick For Nick Foundation are organizing the fundraiser. Organizers request the donation of a new or used soccer ball or $15.00 at the door. Additional details, including online donations, can be found on the event page (http://kickfornick.eventbrite.com). FAQs How can I donate online? You can donate money on this Eventbrite event page and at the Kick for Nick website. Additionally, you can support the silent auction by sending items to the Trinity Bar (157 Orange ST, New Haven CT 06510-3111)--but please email the organizers first (vfwnewhaven @gmail.com). Moreover, if you want to send soccer balls (new and used/usable), please send them directly to Bill Madaras, 35 Signal Hill Road, South Wilton, CT. 06897. Get full shipping details on the Kick for Nick website. What can/can't I bring to the event? Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? The Trinity Bar & Restaurant (thetrinitybar.com) is regulated by Connecticut state liquor laws. Bring soccer balls or $15 bucks and the desire to have a good time. What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? There is plenty of on-street, garage, and lot parking on and around Orange Street. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No, but please show us the confirmation email on your phone. Can I deduct my donation? Yes. The Kick For Nick Foundation Incorporated is a 501(c)(3). Any amount above the fair market value of the established charge (a new or used soccer ball or $15.00) or a raffle or silent auction item is appreciated by us and deductable on your taxes. Who are the organizers? The VFW New Haven Post 12150, the American Outlaws New Haven Soccer club, Trinity Bar, and The Kick For Nick Foundation are organizing the fundraiser.  Where can I contact the organizer with any questions? vfwnewhaven AT gmail.com
